The last few days the weather in Duluth has been just perfect! Yesterday afternoon I took a walk at the lakewalk, there were a lot of people on the walk, and on the beach area by the downtown part of the lake. I'll bet there were even more out on Park Point's Beach! Here are some photos. It was a good day to be down there... but as I said in a previous post, it actually was warmer there, than at our house over the hill... it was even more pleasant in our neighborhood!
I grew up in Southeastern Pennsylvania on a farm. My Dad was a farmer and worked a night shift job in addition to farming for 20 years. My Mother worked part time for the local town Doctor, as his nurse. I'm the oldest of 6 children. I'm the oldest my sister the youngest, with 4 brothers in between. Also, 8 years in between us first three and last three siblings. I came to Duluth as a bride in December, 1969. I met my Duluthian husband to be when he was in the Army in New Cumberland, PA. He wanted to start his married life in his hometown and I agreed. (I was very naive about that). Together Bob and I raised 3 great children,
all grown now...a grandson and a granddaughter...all the delights of our lives. I would not have survived 36 years in this town if not for the support given me by my husband, Mother in law and her family, parents and all the many friends that I have made throughout these years.
